Fleet of Canada

I was looking through the historical tool section of the pawn shop and found some high quality wrenches from various parts of the world but I found some fleet sockets marked USA and some marked Canada. Seems like an odd geographical choice to manufacture them in Canada and in the USA. Or did they move? This is an example, fine looking socket, high quality finish.

Fleet is part of the Proto empire and there was a Proto Canada according to the Tool Archives so I guess it makes sense. I found a Fleet 3/8" drive ratchet at an estate sale recently.

Just picked this up. My first Fleet socket. This one is a 1/2” 12 point socket. It’s a 1/2” drive socket. Well used from the looks of it.
