I picked up a 1/2 and 3/8 drive set today of Fleet sockets the sizes range from 3/16-1in. The set is almost complete and nearly NOS only missing some smaller 1/4 drive pieces. My question is how old is it and how to tell and does any one have a ad or catalog with Fleet tools. Thank you. And there is a copy right from 1967 by fleet tool corporation posted on the sheet attached to the lid.

Nice set in excellent condition!

It's not the earliest period, since the first logo was:

I can't give you the exact dates, but the last logo was the familiar IR-era design that was also used for Proto & Challenger:

The fact that there is a 1967 copyright is a bit surprising given that the IR acquisition occurred in 1963; I would have thought that last logo would have been in use by 1967 (or later)...

Thank you for the information and pictures. It seems like there is not a whole lot of history left on Fleet despite being such a big player back in the day.
