I've looked at Gearwrench and Tekton and some other misc brands.

Who else makes some that aren't garbage?

I really hate polished tools, do automotive work and when things get oily it is annoying as hell.

Does anyone make a set that is not polished?

Double flex box end would be preferred, as I'll be getting a dedicated set of basic combination wrenches or open wrenches + double box end wrenches separately.

Should have mentioned I'm looking for a standard length set. I mostly use my ratcheting wrenches in confined/annoying spaces where a ratchet and socket are difficult. For that reason, extra length is annoying.

Want to basically know if there are any other options before pulling the trigger on the Tekton Flex double box ratcheting set, it's polished.

I actually won a set of metric and standard flex-head ratcheting wrenches from Tekton through a giveaway on this forum. They're handy tools to have. They're obviously not an everyday tool but they've gotten me out of pinches where no other tool would do the trick. They are polished so I understand if that's a disqualifier for you.

Polished isn't necessarily a disqualifier, but unpolished is preferred. I don't think I've found a ratcheting flex head non-polished wrench yet.

bonneyman, looked into it, but EZ Red is XL length, looking for standard. Also don't like it's design. I need a slim head, and I can see the reversing switch getting knocked often when working in confined spaces and driving me insane. Main purpose of this set is for quick bolt nut removal in tight spaces.

Yeah, that's why it's a good move to ask for opinions and check them out before buying. Everybody has their requirements, and not every tool will fit every bill.

Rather be a "try before buy" instead of "cry after buy"!
