flex gas lines in attic"s -???

does anyone run flex gas lines in attics? i was crawling around in an attic and almost went through the ceiling when my boot got snagged on a flex gas line buried in insulation....not strapped...just run loose-wtf? cant be code
i dont use this pipe,its a compression type fitting...i've always run black iron for gas...i dont like the stuf buried in walls or attic's-any opinions? thanks

The propane co I have did that as well. Not secured. I figured they knew what they were doing. Believe it's fine if not used space

CSST is legal in the attic and the favorite of every track builder on the planet. No need for skilled labor to crawl around up there.

That said there are several instances of fires started with ungrounded CSST in attics. You can google that and see what you think.

I am also a black pipe person except for poly underground.
