You will like them, if you need 12pt versions cheap you can find them at lowes for 9.97 a lot of times. It's only a 6 pc set or so. They have metric and sae.

SK, CM, Snap on & kobalt. The ones I depend on are all snappy
The Kobalt sockets do look nice, but they skip some sizes and don't have the singles to finish out the set. They're actually 7 sockets, usually for $19.99.
Perhaps I'm reading more into this than you intended, but what do you find untrustworthy about the SK in particular?

Can also warranty gearwrench at sears

you can only warranty individual Gearwrench tools that sears sells open stock like basic ratcheting wrenches, not individual sockets.
The problem with Gearwrench 1/4 drive chrome swivel sockets is that there's a lot of play in them. You grab the top half of the socket with your left hand and the bottom half with your right hand, and move the halves in and out.
This play gets worse if the socket is used on an air ratchet or cordless impact.
Used truck brand, SK, Proto, US made craftsman old stock, many choices.
it might be worth it to get 1/4 impact swivel sockets in common size 5.5, 7. 8. 10. 13mm if you use them daily with power tools.![]()
