I found that hydraulic hose was the best value for that purpose.

EDIT; let me add some qualifiers.
1. My main line is 3/4" copper so I wanted atleast a 3/4" flex line.
2. My compressor is located under the stairs in my shop (for now) so I wanted a flex hose long enough to be able to move the compressor some to make pluming and electrical connections while moved out some (easier to work on it) then slide it back into position. I installed a 6.5' X 3/4" hydraulic hose rated at 4,000 psi. IIRC to accomplish this. ~ $10.00 eBay.
3. I assumed that you were referring to your 7.5 HP compressor (shown elsewhere) that also operates at 175 psi. with lots of volume.

a couple of barb fittings and a Tee or elbow on the hard line and some crimp furrels or hose clamps and a regular piece of air line. Need to try to go oversize with everything to keep from restricting the flow but Really don't need anything special. We have thousands of feet of regular old air line in my plant and it lasts for years some of it has been there longer than me (13 Yrs) and still going with 125 lbs on them.

Here we have a distributorship that will make up any kind of air hose or line we need. They are primarily a fuel station dist. (gas pumps, hoses, etc.) but also do the air lines. They all have hydraulically crimped fittings and are dependable. This is in podunk Montana, so I would think there should be someplace near you that can do this type of thing. I personally don't trust barbed fittings and hose clamps, although it is probably unfounded.
