CL find here, and wondering if anyone can tell me anything about this grinder. Can't seem to find anything on line. Looking for info/parts manual for this flex shaft tool. (Model JN-40 I believe) As found with a 6" wire wheel on the shaft, but looks kinda hokey to me. Anyone ever use one of these, and if so for what? Any idea where to look for info?
Pretty well built, an once cleaned up, I would like to use it with a smaller wheel. Possibly a 3m product? Not sure? What are your thoughts?

Hi ho,

Don't know if it helps, but I was able to tweak the photo of the drive belts and that main pulley on the motor is made by Brown Inc., of Maysville KY. A quick search of that pulled up the Emerson site, which says they've been making v-belt stuff there since 1886. May just be the maker of that pulley and not the whole unit, but it's something...

Hope that helps,

They were used alot before modern grinders with motors that were light and powerful came to be and OSHA. It takes a real man to use it to its full extent. Be careful if you get in trouble its a long ways to the off switch.

I use the modern 1/4 and 1/3hp flex shaft tools from Foredom to grind ski boots five days a week. Very handy tools when you need to remove a bunch of material in an awkward spot.
