Flexible line from compressor to pipe. What to use?

That about says it. I'm hooking up my new HF 60 gal compressor. I plan to use black pipe. But I need to know what to use for the 2-3 feet from the compressor to the start of the black pipe -- so that vibration can be absorbed.

Thanks. Been lurking for a while, but this is my first post. Sweet forum!

I had a hydraulic line made up kind of over kill but I'll never have to worry about it.

Okay. Is there any issue if the I.D. of the whip hose is less than I.D. of 1/2" black metal pipe.

EDIT: wow two more posts while I was typing.

Tractor Supply, Atwoods, Rural King, etc. all carry pre-made hydraulic hose assemblies. Reasonably priced and 2500 psi+ rated. It's hard to beat for the intended purpose.

yes it is smaller id and you wont have the volume to run anything but small air items and a whip hose is about the same cost as doing it right and using the proper hose ie hyd hose or stratoflex hose

And if you go to a 2500 psi setup you can drill the fittings out some to get the flow up. Just don't try using it as a real hydraulic hose after.

I used a 3/4" hydraulic hose for mine the inside of the fitting was 5/8" so it would not restrict flow

I got 1/2 push lock air hose and fittings from the local compressor store, 3 years later and still fine.

If you can use bigger black pipe, mine is 1" I believe, helps cool off the hot output air. Let it run 20 feet before your first drop. It should go uphill, put a drain on it on the low end.
