I was told by my cement finisher that the concrete needs to breath or it will start to flake the top layer.
I guess its because moisture will get trapped.

None of the tiles I'm looking at prevent air movement between them.

I'm planning to use a snap tile material for my garage. Narrowed down to Racedek, Motofloor, and Flexitile. Leaning toward the more flexible brand since it is supposed to not make noise when you walk on it. Anyone have experience with it?

Here's the link: https://www.elitegaragefloors.com/flexi-tile-diamond-pattern/#flexivideo

Any comments an any of the tiles I mentioned would be appreciated.

Elite garage floors AKA Elite Xpressions, is one of my favorite competitors. Great people and great products. Flexitile is no exception. Really it comes down to the difference between PVC and Polypropylene tiles.

PVC will likely stain but it does a better job protecting the concrete below.

Some of the material here https://www.garageflooringllc.com/selecting-garage-floor-tile/ is a little dated. We have moved to RaceDeck and TrueLock HD for our polypropylene... You will also find this video helpful https://www.garageflooringllc.com/2017/02/20/livestream-differences-garage-floor-tiles-tile-basics/

You have to compliment the suppliers on this forum.... an opportunity to pounce on a new prospect was ignored and complimenting the competitor was route chosen... not the norm in our world... THANK you Garage Forum suppliers....

That said I have been looking and planning for over a year and heading in next few weeks to finally order my flooring material..looked at all the same as you but after weighing all options and products... the good, bads and uglies....I am ordering Norsk PVC coin flexible tiles.if you haven't looked at it link is here: https://www.garageflooringllc.com/norsk-stor-garage-floor-tiles/

If you have ... was just my opinion for my situation,,,,Good Luck...

Thank you for the kind words. When it comes to competitors, I try to stick to the rule if you don't have anything nice to say...... I screw up sometimes, but for the most part I stick to it. I also meant every word. Kim W is one of the best people in the industry on the distribution side.

I installed the flexitile in my garage back in January of 2014 and I love it. It is soft under foot but it does pick up hot tire marks. I can live with the latter as the car sits in the same spot most of the time.
