Never heard of them. I generally buy DeWalt for work stuff and whatever I can find domestically made and reasonably priced on eBay in bulk for at home.

I got some samples at Fabtech and are ok. WALTER seem to be the best . Fast cutting and long lasting. Many that our shop guy bought were inexpensive. You could see the wheel reduce in size as you were cutting faster than material you were cutting.

They’re pretty decent. I’ve run a few, never had any issues. I buy CGW and SAIT cutoff wheels, very good quality and affordable. Walter and Metabo are the best, but they do cost more for the small performance increase. Sometimes it’s worth it, usually can get by with a general industrial grade wheel.

I avoid abrasives from the box stores generally speaking.

You got to have them sometimes. Plasma has really reduced the use of them, it was always so tempting to want to go for the finish they have but if its humanly possible hand cut with a plasma.

Flexovit are the most common brand in Australia, and I have used them for over 20 years (metal, masonry and aluminium discs). All sizes from 4" (100mm) through to 9" (230mm) on grinders and a 12" (305mm) on the drop saw.

I have only ever had 2 break on me - 1 when my grinder dropped blade first onto the concrete floor, and another when the chassis I was working on moved. Both were thin cut off wheels.
