Hi all,

I recently placed and order for a Newage bold set. Most of the pictures I’ve seen are of floating Newage pro series cabinets.

Anyone have experience with floating the tall lockers and base cabinets without the feet?

Thx

The Bold are not very sturdy. I have both Bold and Pro. I probably would not try to hang the storage lockers unless they won’t have much weight in them.

Thank you. The wall lockers will mainly be used for lawn and auto detailing liquids. So not heavy equipment. Hopefully I can get by floating the storage lockers.

I floated my Bold cabinets. I knew I wouldn't be getting them to capacity, so I was not too concerned. I have had them up for a year now, with no issues.
I used a 2x4 ledger attached to the wall with Spax lags into the wall studs, then used 1/8" flat bar inside the top edge of the cabinet to spread the load of the lags there. So far, so good. I will be sure to share pictures if it fails spectacularly. The cabinets won't be filled to anywhere near their claimed capacity, and the work surface will be more for fine work than banging and heavy stuff.

My bold new age cabinets were mounted 8" off ground. Mounted to wall studs. New issues since installation 3-4 years ago.
