Floating floor on concrete.

Trying to decide on flooring for our mudroom. Its a concrete floor, 10 X 12 room. We are planning on using a floating floor in there. Would it be worth it to put extra foam between the concrete and the floor? Like some 1/2" or one inch foam. The room is not heated and I live in a cold climate. It is well insulated in the walls and ceiling.

If it's a mudroom, I would use ceramic tile. Any dampness from wet boots / clothes will not harm it, and it can be cleaned with a mop.

Floating floors do not like water.
