Posted a thread last week about the new box I got here:
http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=39713
I said I would post a follow-up with pics of the drawer liners, also did a couple other things so I figured Id make a new thread.

Drawer liners I bought off a guy at the local flea market, their 2x2 squares that look like factory 2nds from something (all have minor blemeshes somewhere, they got cut out when I trimmed them to fit the drawers) at $5 for 5 the price cant be beat. :bounce:

I tried claming a t-square to a my table saw and cut the foam that way, but i quickly found out it does not like being cut with a razor knife (even with a new blade) so I had to rethink my plan.

I ended up just using the t-squre and a permenent marker to mark lines and used a pair of utility snips to make the cuts. Worked great.

Finished product. (just two drawers for example)

Next, I had posted this thread awile ago about a plier organizer on ebay.
http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38495&highlight=plier+organizer. Ive been looking for a cheap solution and found it at wal-mart.

A $4 plate rack.

Cutting the legs off so it would sit flat and so I could fit more sections in the drawers. Stuck it in the vise and took a hacksaw to it.

The finished product.

It took two organizers total, I had to cut 2 sections off the 2nd rack to get them to fit perfectly in the drawer. I zip-tied them together in the middle to keep them from moving around.

Before: (ok its usually not this messy, i was getting ready to take everything out but i left it that way for added effect )

After:

And finally, Ive had this 1/4 in husky ratchet sitting around that I bought at a flea market. I already have the same exact ratchet so I decided to make a stubby out of it. Stuck it in the vise and cut it in half with a cut-off tool.

Ground the cut down to make it smooth and its finished.

Enjoy.

Thats a neat idea for a stubby. Really a good deal if you only use one once in a while!

Yea Ive been eyeing them on ebay but their not worth the expense for how often i would use it. The husky fit the bill perfectly since the top is separated from the bottom with those groves which gave me a place to cut and a nice finished top portion. Plus it has the finger wheel on top which makes it even more handy.
