I didn’t know whether to post this here or in tools. So for now it’s here.
I plan on floor mounting my drill press, weighs about 120#, most of it at the top.
What’s the best way to anchor the base into the unfinished 40y/o concrete floor. No cracks in the floor currently. All sorts of ideas going through my mind such as lead anchors, expansion bolts, epoxying bolts into the floor and nuts to the base. What have folks here done similar? Also, what’s the best way to get the holes made into the concrete?
At this point I’m open to any and all input.
Thanks

any of your anchor ideas will be fine. no need for the epoxy, IMO. the lead or expansion will work fine for your application
use a hammer drill at minimum, SDS rotary drill will work well if you have one

If you see projects like this in your future, buy an sds plus or sds max rotary hammer.

I'd probably use some read head expansion anchors. Epoxy is great, but expensive and you won't need a lot for a small drill press. That said, if you want to be able to unbolt this and move it, putting threaded anchors in with epoxy would work well

Duly noted. I’m on the right track, just need to borrow an SDS drill, as I was planning on using my big old low speed 1/3 hp rotary. Thanks all.
