Somewhere on this site was a post about installing 12 x 12 or 6x6 steel floor boxes to hold/anchor vise/grinder stands in a garage slab and it also contained a "D" ring as a tie down. Now I can't find the thread. I would like to read about the value of a floor box imbedded in a concrete slab. Can anyone guide me to that thread? I think a floor box would serve me well for my scroll bender too. Pictures will be helpful not only for the box, but a substantial cover when the other stuff is moved out of the way.

I remember a removable pin with d ring at the top. It fit in a two inch round hole. Sorry can’t find it

Floor boxes can be great but you can also install threaded insert in the floor to bolt things down. Then put the bolt back in when you remove the item

You can do the same with bolting a D ring to the floor in the end of the garage. That way you can winch a disabled vehicle into the garage
