floor coating

what is a good floor coating that is resistant to gasoline and oils. the floor was sealed with a clear coating and if i spill gas it will soften it right up. can i put it over what i put down or will it be neccessary to strip it?

decent quality epoxies handle gasoline and oils with no problem. The question is the existing low end clear coat now on the floor. the bond to the floor will only be as strong as the bond from the clear coat.

i thought it was a good product because i bought at a company that specials in concrete products and it was recomended by the person who did the floor. the stuff wasnt cheap, but that doesnt matter any more, the bond seems real good as there are no spots that are lifting that why i thought i could get away with just sanding it.

An epoxy formula can be adjusted to be more or less resistant to one chemical or another. Our 100% solids has been tweaked specifically for oil and gas as well as brake fluid and shows little to no impact after extended testing.

I believe Legacy and Epoxy Coat have products with similar performance. I am sure others do as well.
