I have a 22x30 detached garage. It was unheated until now. The problem I'm facing is there is no floor drain, so all the snow that melts off the vehicles just sits of the floor that is not sloped very good. All the water is pooling up against the wall.
My question is, how do I go about installing a floor drain?
Can I chip away a 1 ft diameter hole, use a post hole digger to dig down, fill it with cruched rock, then put a drain over and repour cement up to the drain to cover the hole I chipped away?
Since the floor is not sloped very well, can I cut grooves sloped towards the center of the floor where I will be putting the drain? or will that be prone to chipping.
