I am preparing for a new cement floor. I have had many suggestions on where to locate them. The shop is 30 x 44 wide . I have 2 12 foot doors. I was going to install a drain in each bay about 10 feet in. I will have about an inch fall from back wall to the outside world. So one drain in the center or 1 in each bay or none and put one of the long narrow in ground drains that have the grates and can span the whole width of the doors. Any suggestions? thanks

In many cases the code calls for a triple basin holding unit to deal with possible fuel spills or toxics within a shop or garage. You need to find out how your local code enforcement will deal with this. If you are doing it on the sly, it still would be a good idea to know exactly what you are doing wrong as compared to proper. So you can fix it later when you get caught at a lesser repair rate.
If you do not know your code. Do not proceed. Learn it.
