Not sure if this should be in the Flooring forum, so I apologize if this is misplaced. In the back of our barn, we have a covered storage area where I keep my ZT mower, ATV, and UTV. I also store my landscaping tools. It is 36’ wide by 12’ deep. The “floor” is crushed stone. I want to change it to a wood floor. I want to have a smooth, level surface.
I’ve never built a floor, and was just looking for some tips on the best way to do this.
I was also thinking about concrete. I’ve never poured a concrete pad, and there is the possibility that once I get my agricultural building built, all of the vehicles and supplies will go in there, and this overhang will become run-ins for the horses, so concrete may not be the best choice anyway.
I am also curious if it would be possible too put some kind of doors on the openings?
