I think I need to grind my floor at least a little bit to put down rust bullet.

But I have Two questions.

First am I being crazy trying to grind a 24x24 floor with a small hand grinder?

And second what do I want for the grinding?

Diamabrush makes a hand tool if that is the rouse you want to go. You should see if Home Depot near you has their prep tool for rental. Much quicker. Keep in mind grinding means less coverage on the Rust Bullet

Why would it be less coverage?

Do I not need to grind for rust bullet? I was reading a few threads and they ground before rust bullet.

I have part of my floor painted, I thought I had to grind to get it off?

The paint needs to go for sure. Rust bullet requires ran dry concrete. Many do grind but over unsealed concrete it does not need to be done. When you grind it creates a profile and allows the coating to penetrate. When you are dealing with a thin build it means less coverage and more coats because there is less coating left on the surface.

Couple days dry?

There are so many factors there. Concrete holds moisture much longer than you think. I am in the high desert of Colorado. Under normal circumstances my garage floor would be completely dry in a couple of days.

This month, however, it is possible, if not likely that if I pressure washed my garage on Monday it could still have moisture trapped in it on Saturday. One way to tell is if you are getting dark spots under things that are sitting on the floor.

Damn, rust bullet is 250$ a gallon.
How much is needed for a 24*24 garage? I was thinking 3 gallons, but that's more than I wanted to spend.

You must be outside the USA?

I would figure:

First coat: 2 gallons
Coat 2&3 1.5 gallons each

Total 5 Gallons

To my knowledge outside the USA no one stocks the concrete formulation. You need to add 6oz of RB Solvent to each gallon of Rust Bullet Standard.

Lastly, watch the install video which is on the top of our installation instructions (tab)

I am in Alberta. At 1250 bucks it's not even close to being in the realm of happening.
They had Automotive, and industrial, I got pricing on the industrial, I didn't know they had a concrete mix.

Might have to look into VCT more here or just get a couple rustoleum epoxy shield kits.
