Floor in bad shape - not sure what to do

I posted previously about a problem with a recently installed epoxy floor with aluminum oxide. After the job was done I could see lots of roller lines all over the floor. Further, parts of the floor glossy and other parts were not. It was "patchy". So, the guy agreed to come back and put down another clear coat to "even it out".

I told him before he came that the dogs had walked across the floor several times (it was dry several days so it was ok to be on it). He said no problem, that he'd clean the floor first. Well, he didn't clean the floor. Now, I've got the same poor looking floor but now I've got embedded dog hair all over the floor!

I'm not real sure what I should do. Have him redo the floor? Ask for some money back? Any suggestions?

Thanks.

It sounds like the color coat went on thin in areas. When this happens, the thin areas will look less glossy creating a matte finish or have a slightly different color tone than the surrounding areas.

My first inclination is to ask for a refund and find and hire a professional to fix your floor. If this isn't an option, have him use a sanding screen on the floor to rough it up and remove the dog hairs. Next apply the color coat again. Since the floor already has a couple of coats already on it, the color will have a uniform glossy finish. Next, apply a coat of polyurethane with Shark Grip or equivalent mixed in to provide the non-slip surface. The polyurethane will provide for a tougher surface and is a good medium for Shark Grip which is easier on the feet and easier to clean the floor.

I'm not sure it's the color coat because after he finished the color coat and put down the chips it looked incredible. It was only after he put on the clear and AO that it went bad.

If he adds another color coat to it won't it be uneven because of the chips? Or do you mean he should sand off the chips too?

Thanks.
