I have a rubber saddle on my floor jack so it just "conforms" to the chassis and I don't worry about it. Those pinch weld things look like they would work great but also be a pain to align.

I do the same - my AC Hydraulics jack has a rubber pad that cushions the welds. My welds are pretty close to the edge of the rocker, so it would be tough to keep it steady.

I have the Eastwood unit also. Works okay. If you can get it cheaper than Eastwood, go for it.
