Floor jack and -- Storage

on the floor where they are easy to get when you need them again ?
I don't have pics, but those square plastic buckets 28-30lbs of cat litter comes in make great containers for jack stands and are easily stackable.
I nest the bottom part of the stands inside each other and put the extensions in the corners of the bucket, two stands can fit inside. My big jack just rolls into a corner and the containers can sit on it. My portable jack sits on those in it's case.
The cat litter buckets make it easy to carry all four stands out at once (2 each bucket) or just a pair while rolling/carrying the jack at the same time.

Well, looks like I'll have to get a couple of cats in order to justifying buying buckets of cat litter. On the other hand, I have seen several mice lately that need to be dealt with....

I stack my jack stands in the corner beside my bench. I can usually go 3 high before they begin to topple over.

I have some heavy duty hangars, and hang them on the wall right above the jack.
That keeps them off of the floor, and they are easy to get to.

jack stands go on the bottom shelf
jacks get slipped under the large shop tools so the only additional space taken is for the back of the jack and the handle sticking up
