Hi, all.

I've had this jack for probably over 30 years, but don't know who actually made it, and thus I don't know how to get a rebuild kit for it. IIRC, I bought it at Price Club (before they were acquired by Costco).

I think its only failure is an internal leak past either the delivery or release valve, as it will try to raise with no load, but instantly settles back to rest after the handle stops moving. This began as a gradual fade, but has progressed to the point that the jack is only good for ballast in its current condition. I'd like to revive it. It exhibits no sign of any external leaks. I've topped off the hydraulic oil and bled it, although it appeared that there was very little air in it. This brought no improvement to its performance.

Many thanks in advance for any advice.

Okay, let's see if they show up in this post. Really strange that I can see them in the OP, on both of my computer and on my phone.

That looks like a jack I bought off of a guy's truck years ago. They would stop at all the garages they saw, selling jacks, engine hoists, jack stands, etc. I think the stuff was branded "Allied".
Mine was all metric inside, but hydraulic parts houses carry metric parts. I'd take the valve out and see if it has an o-ring or hard seat.
They can be repaired, but is it worth the money...

I'm glad to hear the pix came through this time. Instead of using copy/paste as I normally do (and initially did), I used the Insert Image button. Still seems odd to me that I could see the images and y'all couldn't but, it no longer matters now.

Now that Allied has been mentioned, I think that's heading in the correct direction with respect to the source. The orange color, Taiwan COO, and the fact that IIRC it came from Price Club back when many of the tools and automotive equipment they sold carried the Allied brand, all points that way in my mind.

In fact, it just now occurred to me that I have a pair of jack stands that are wearing what appears to be the same orange paint, and I just went and checked and found that they have the Allied brand on them. Thinking about this for a further moment, it seems likely that I bought the jack and stands at the same time. I don't know if Allied was/is the name of a Taiwanese manufacturer, or a distributor of private-labeled (or, in this case, unbranded) products.

Also a good suggestion to simply remove the valve and wander into the local hydraulic parts houses. Thanks for that. In the absence of a model number for the jack, that seems like the best path forward.
