Can anyone tell me the brand of this jack?

I inherited this from my father in law who was a mechanic at my local Chevy dealership back in the early 60's. I also got some SnapOn and MAC tools and boxes. No I don't keep it outside. It needs some work done as the handle is hard to turn to raise or lower the jack. Thanks.

It’s going to be tough to come up with a brand name. The design has been attributed to a Japanese company named Yasui, but it’s been copied and sold under many brand names from Taiwan and then later in China. By its visual appearance, my guess is that it is likely an older Japan or Taiwan manufacture. The earlier Japan and Taiwan versions were of much higher quality.

So not likely to find gaskets or grease zerks or parts?

It is a very common jack design that has been around a long time. The older ones from Japan and Taiwan are known to be very durable. I do not think that you will find many pre-made rebuild kits. However, if you disassemble and measure specific components, there are some vendors that will have many of these things.

You might consider reviewing this thread: https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/overseas-jack-rebuild-help-tutorial.51105/

and then if you’re looking for parts, perhaps try:
