Blackhawk.. Im unsure of the Model but im sure David (CTRDI) will chime in... as he is a Blackhawk Guru. It looks like the Tag is still in tact, Did you try to contact the Seller asking for Model number?

Guru?....far from it. I am a tiny bit obsessed with these things though.

Definitely a Blackhawk. It is a 1.5 Ton unit, could be either model S-17 or S-23. These are nice little jacks. Unless there is something obviously broken, you really can't go wrong plunking down 50 bucks on this.

Is it me or it looks to be missing the inner (release) rod in the handle?

The handle is simply a hollow tube, and a rather beefy one at that. At the control valve end of the handle, a pin is situated across the hollow area. The pin actuates the valve by rotation of the handle.

A model SJ-23 with a jointed yoke does have a control knob with an associated actuation rod. Illustrated parts diagrams even suggest that this jack should have a control knob with an actuation rod. However, in my experience with these, all 1.5 ton units with a solid yoke were not configured this way.
