Guessing this is just another cheap jack, but it was almost free, so it followed me home. Any idea who made it?

I guess I'll add that the jack works. There is one piece that is missing where the handle connects to the release valve. Half of u-joint remains, but the other piece is missing. It seems like a relatively heavy jack for a cheap import, and the pump is different that I am used to seeing.

It was getting dark when I got these pictures. I'll try to get better ones later this week.

What kind of end fits up into the handle? Hex, square or slotted. Also need the size of the square or hex. Need to know if the part in the pump pushes a ball or if it has a needle type end, as well as the diameter & thread pitch. They generally come as an assembly. From the looks of it & noting the date, I might think it's a Chinese junker, but I'm willing to look for you.

I'll have to take it apart and see what kind of release valve it has. I'll pull the handle, too, and see how that fits together, too. I have a machine shop in the garage, so I might spend the $300 in labor to save $25 in parts! Sure wouldn't be the first time. Most of the import jacks seen to use the two gears for the release valve. I guess I don't recall many using a u-joint there. I didn't find much searching for Allied, but I do see that it was a part number of their's. The pictures I found, which might not have been the same model, used the more familiar squared off cylinder assembly. That was one of the first things I noticed about this jack. Guess I'll do some more searching tomorrow. Or maybe I'll just stick it in the corner for when I need a 6th floor jack.

You're right about the pump portion sticking out like that, which made me call it a junker, because most repairable imports have the square block body.

Not sure how significant it is, but I ran across a pic of an OTC jack that has a similar looking pump. Of course, the guts could be completely different. I did find out that this jack leaks around the pump plunger, so I'll probably tear into it one day. As mentioned above, this is probably a cheap Chinese design.
