Hi, I'm new to the forums and I was hoping somebody could identify the make and model of this floor jack. I bought it and the guy thought it was a Hein-Werner, but I'm not sure that it is. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Roberts210. Thanks for your reply. I thought it was a "WS" which I think yours is and it is very common. The issue is the Block Unit on mine doesn't have the notch in it where the one piston assembly goes. It also doesn't seem to have the ball value right beside it. The jack is leaking and I want to get a repair kit for it, but I don't think a kit for a "WS" will work. Any other thoughts?

HI genog. Thanks for your input. Do you or anybody else know what model of Hein-Werner this Floor jack is? I'm pretty sure it is not a "WS".

Welcome Dan!

It's a HW alright; no question about that. It is not a WS. And it is not an OS or Oh-Boy for the reasons that you state. It must be an earlier version of one of them. Please give us the width and length dimensions.

We may need resident expert Hiball to weigh in on this one.

I’m fairly certain it’s an early OS, I’ve seen one before with that clip around the pump piston. A simple tear down and cylinder size verification will distinguish the two. It’s always a good idea to put eyes on internals regardless, especially prior to buying a seal kit for vintage lift equipment.

Hi Indexmill and Hiball, thanks for help The overall dimensions of the jack are about 28" long and the width is about 14 1/2" from back wheel cover to back wheel cover. The main cylinder's outer diameter is about 3". Does this help in any way, or do you think I just need to tear it down and take some pictures of the internals?

Thanks for all your effort.
Dan

Not sure what model Hein-Werner you have, but here's mine.
It's a Monkey Wards
Looks familiar? ;)

@genog that's interesting. So maybe it's a variant of a Hein-Werner made for Montgomery Ward. Although, your Montgomery Ward still has the Notched Block Unit and the ball value right beside it like the other Hein-Werner 1 1/2 ton jacks which the one I have doesn't....
