Found this jack for sale, seller claims it lift 4-5 tons, no info can be found on jack itself. He wants $50, is it worth it? He said it works fine. Thanks!

Pass.. The Seller is clueless, it's your run of the mill Import, probably rated at 2 - 2.5 tons from the factory.

Concur, that probably came from one of those traveling tool shows at the VFW or American Legion.

Generally I don't care for HF, but I know someone who uses one of their light jacks several times a day and has had no trouble.

There are many things I'll buy at HF, but something that might fail in a critical load-lifting situation is NOT one of them. PLEASE don't put yourself at risk with a cheap HF jack. There are plenty of old, used American jacks that you can buy relatively cheap and restore and get an excellent jack that will last the rest of your life.

Doesn't Costco sell the Arcan? I am not sure. I got the Michelin jack from Sam's Club years and it works great but the handle does not stay vertical at rest (and it is annoying).

I am not sure I would worry about an HF jack to be honest, I would be more worried about good jack stands. You are not under the car when you lift it with the jack, so worst case it fails and the car comes down but not on you. Jack stands that's another story. Just my opinion with my limited experience.
