I have a 1 1/2 ton Crew-Line floor jack that is almost impossible to regulate the speed that it comes down at. No matter how carefully I try to release the pressure it comes down either fast or very fast. I realize that the basic problem is that it's a cheap jack but is there any way repair/modify it so that it'll work properly.
Thanks,

Thanks,

It can be a two part problem, 1 of the problems is that there are some series that utilized either to small of a seat/ball or return vein and there is too much oil being released back into the reservoir. The other problem is that those teeth tend to get bent from over tightening and it makes it herky-jerky when you try and release it. I know of No immediate cheap fix, without modifying the seat witha bigger ball that can restrict the flow. There are lots of previous threads on this issue, your not alone. It has nothing to do with oil level.
