hey guys im looking for a floor jack that it is sturdy enough to do regular maintenance like oil changes but is small enough that i can leave in the trunk of my car to replace those scissor jacks. any recommendations im not looking to spend that much money. Any experience with the craftsman or HF low profile jacks? Are there any jacks that break down into boxes that would work for oil changes? thanks a lot guys

This weekend I'm picking up the HF 1.5 ton aluminum jack for similar reasons, just have a somewhat portable, lightweight FLOOR jack I can take to CL deals or out to the back field parts cars, etc etc. There are $59.99 coupons out there and another one for some oddball amount like $63.39.

Whatever route you go, I would keep the Factory Scissor jack for a backup.

The grey steel HF low profile jacks are one of the the best sub-$100 jacks out there IMO.
