Hiballs, the jack Model#:791-6420; complete seal kit#:rs35sk; and the release assembly#:rs3527. Their ya go a chinese jack from NAPA that can be serviced. Oh and my local NAPA number is (845)255-9190 and ask for Paul....:)

Oh i didnt say they couldnt be serviced, I do it all the time but unfortunately ive never seen a rebuild Kit. Ive always had to piece them together from my Stock. I tried to call and get a Price but just got a Answering machine as i realized you are East of me and its a bit later. Thanks for the Info... I still woudnt recommend spending that much Cash on that jack as you can find the same identical jack cheaper thru other avenues but as long as Napa takes care of you thats all that matters. Do you recall the Price of the Kit? Thanks Again...

Unfortunetly I dont, Id like to think it was no more than $30-35..its just o-rings, coil springs, and a seal. As far as finding it cheaper I wasnt able to but to be honest I didnt search too hard. Its not the crappy style with the gear (that tightens or loosens the valve)on the jack end of the handle. It actually has a plunger like the snap-on and blackhawk jacks, and the valve has a small cardon joint connecting it to the handle assembly. Best of luck.

If you want a good, American made, rebuildable quality jack ....

Great succinct post. The only thing I can add is I assume you meant, "Blackhawk" not "blackjack".

There don't seem to be many rebuilt/reconditioned older jacks on eBay right now but there are some specialty vendors with their own websites, it looks like. Thanks for the post & inspiration!

I have found a way to tell if a jack is built under a different/cheaper name. Find the repair manual with parts list. Google the cylinder or repair kit part number. If its out there it will serface.
The kits part numbers dont change. I did see some 2 ton cylinders use the same kits as some 3.5 tons so I'd bet the cylinders are the same ones if you ordered both numbers..
I've found this same jacks under Blackhawk,Omega and ATD. I would just buy the cheapest one since there the same it seems. Google this jacks kit number and compare the jacks. Omega is the highest priced.

This OTC jack is low profile but jacks up to a high lift point. The minimum height is 1-7/8 inch and the maximum height is 20-1/2 inch.

OTC 5200 2-Ton Capacity Ultra-Low Profile Service Jack $422.34

The old jacks are great because they can be rebuilt but the problem is too many cars are low profile now and you will need a low profile jack. The newer jacks offer low profile.

Hiball, what do you suggest for a low profile jack???
