Pot anchor is the "ultimate" solution and that sure looks like a nice portable winch, but both are kind of $$$ especially for light vehicles (pop up camper or single axle trailer and boat).
Here is my plan for this spring.
Drill/chisel a hole in the floor of the garage a couple inches in front of the back wall. The needs to be big enough to easily drop in the head of a 1/2" bolt. It should go all the way through the floor. Use a shop vac and get all of the debris out of the hole. You might even want to loosen a bit of the dirt under the floor and **** it out also.
Get a 1/2" thread "lifting eye"
(NOT an eye bolt ! A lifting eye is forged, one piece). Also a couple of 1/2" "coupling nuts" and a couple of 1/2" bolts. (If you are into over kill, make them all stainless, except for the lifting eye). You want a bolt sticking out of the bottom of the coupling nut and the lifting eye sticking out of the top. You ca put 2 coupling nuts together with a cut off bolt in between for added length.
Mix up some "anchoring cement"
(or special epoxy designed for this job), fill the hole and place the bolt and coupling nuts down into the wet cement until the top of the coupling but is flush with the top of the anchoring cement and floor. Let it harden for 24 hours. If you were careful setting this, you should be able to remove the lifting eye so you don't trip over it.
Use an anchor shackle to attach a pulley to the lifting eye. Attach your rope/cable to the vehicle, around the pulley,
back out the front of the garage,
under the vehicle and attach it to a garden tractor/tow vehicle.
Seems corny, but it is cheap. I plan on using double braided nylon rope.
