I am turning my shed into a billiards room.

I want to replace some old carpet in an out-shed I am turning into a billiards room. the concrete in the building under the carpet isn't perfect. I was trying to decide between carpet again, or vinyl laminate flooring. The shed is heated occasionally in the winter and I did find some flooring that was rated for -20 below. My concern is how cold the slab will be in the winter if I'm only using the building occasionally. Looking for suggestions. here are some pics.

I'd put down some cementitious self levelling compound to fix the floor, then carpet it. Maybe some nice dense thin carpet padding, too? Carpet will be the best flooring if you're not really heating the space. Standing on cold tile, on cold concrete *****. It will drive you out fast.
