I am going to do an epoxy floor in my garage and I am planning to grind the floor. I know I have to clean up any oil spills and I have that taken care of but I have one small area that had some latex paint spill. Do I need to do anything special to that area or will the grinding take care of it?

Typically the paint will sit on the surface. I would scrape up as much of the paint as you can and then grind it. I would use Pour N Restore on any oil stains then a degreaser if necessary.

I started this before Legacy replied. I don't disagree, but depending on the grinder you are using, scraping the paint off if possible will speed things up. Also the PNR will **** the oil out of the concrete.

Thanks Scotty and Justin. I am going to use Pour-N-Restore as well as a good degreaser to take care of the oil stains. The paint was just some flat latex wall paint and is only about an 14 inch circle. Never noticed the spill until it was too late to get it all cleaned up, had already soaked into the concrete. It has been there for many years so there isn't really anything to scrape. I think anything I put on the floor to get the paint up would do more damage then the paint itself. I think I'm just going to grind it and see what happens.

For those that have used a grinder for their floors, did you grind wet or dry? I have been thinking about doing the grinding wet, to keep the dust down, any suggestions?

Earl, either is possible. If you grind dry you should think about getting a small tornado attachment:

If wet, you will accumulate slurry and it will be something. Be prepared to have some way to dispose of the slurry.

PS: I would sell this attachment if I could it really is the bees knees!
