So as far as I can see, the components needed to install a typical wall style receptacle in a floor is the same metal box, receptacle but the cover plate is heavier and usually has some sort of screw in cover or recessed hinge. Is this the case? If so, can I not just buy the receptacle cover plate and install the box/receptacle as per usual? I don't want to buy a whole kit (which includes the box, receptacle marrs AND cover plate).
Does anyone have any leads on where I can get a simple metal (not brass or gold or titanium) plate with screw in receptacle covers? This doesn't seem to be rocket science but at $60 or $70 for each unit, and I need 4, this seems a bit outrageous.
