Living in the South, we often have days on end of rain this time of year. Well I work on off-road equipment and it is stored outside, so it comes into the shop soaking wet. You guys working on cars/trucks have the same issues I'm sure. The wet floors are very slick as you can imagine, polished concrete. With that said, we have a cheapie 30" floor squeege that does work but it takes a ton of down pressure; as if the rubber scraper is too stiff (and I believe it is). Is there a such thing as a decent squeegee that I should be looking at? Maybe silicone blade?

Mine is getting the same way....it actually works better now when I pull the water instead of push it.

I think the other day someone had a thread going about squeeges and someone posted one of these styles....

I think they said it was a Libman brand, which is pretty common to see at any hardware or big box store. Next time I get somewhere I am going to try to find one and see how it works out. I feel like it would work better than a regular rubber bladed type.

When I worked at a quick lube in 90's we had the best luck with the foam ones. We had epoxy coated floors and would squeegee after every car on rainy or snowy days.

I replaced my 20 year old rubber tipped floor squeegee with a silicon tipped version

Works great and remains flexible
