Floor tile ie racedeck and such

Is there cheaper brands out there to do a old style show room floor ? every one I have cheched to include costco I big $$$$$

There ARE cheap alternatives if you don't mind selling out your friends and neighbors. You can buy a cheap product from China (which may or may not have something in it that is unsafe for people or the environement). However, in the long run it's going to cost you more when we don't have any jobs and the government uses YOUR money to bail out American manufacturers in hopes of salvaging a few jobs.

OR, you can just **** it up and pay the money for a good quality tile from a stand up manufacturer like Racedeck! In the long run, not only will you feel good about your floor but your self-respect will remain intact as well.

Race deck seems very spendy looks good, but all it just a plastic ! Come on, how much can plastic be a pound ??

Your free to buy any flooring system you like. if price is the most imprtant part of your buying decision then your destined for dissapointment.

You can request free sample tiles from many different mfg's. I suggest doing this and putting them side-by-side and looking them over closely. You will notice that Racedeck is much thicker and more sturdy. Well worth the extra money IMO.

In response to some of the above comments, I am going to refrain from trashing any speicifc competitors product, regardless of where it is made or what it is made from.
I agree, you should compare products and see what works best for your needs, also see what people say about the products they purchased.

as for the its "just plastic" - that is really not the case. there are 100's ( if not 1000's ) of different plastics and and even more variations with cheap fillers added to them. You can see this in the modular flooring options in the marketplace. This is why you will see some products with many different shades of color from tile to tile, extreme fading of colors over time, tiles easily cracking or shattering due to being brittle ( there are tiles that you can easily crack over your knee)...
Aside from the plastic differences there are manufacturing differences that make one tile stronger and more consistant than another. Many of these processes are propietary.

We have been doing this a long time and have seen many competitors ( overseas and domestic) come and go over the years with cheap copy versions of our product line.

I did just as Phatsub recommends and ended up getting RaceDeck. Not only is it thicker and more sturdy, but the tiles fit together much more tightly for a cleaner look when layed as well as less seepage when spills occur. In my opinion it is about the best money I spent on my garage. It certainly gets the most "oooohhs and ahhhhhs"
And Jorgen and company as well as their local dealer were great to work with.

I have spoke to your guys once before and received some samples and the dvd. Is Racedeck 100% compatible with Costco's MotoFloor? Is it the same stuff?

Synergy-
Yes and no on the compatibility. It will snap into the RaceDeck but there is a small height difference in the floor tiles ( RD is taller), the patterns do not line up and most importantly, the male locks ( lug portion) do not lick in with the same force as the when RaceDeck & RaceDeck are locked together or when MotoFloor & Motofloor are locked together.
No, RaceDeck and MotoFloor are not the same thing. there are several posts talking about this...but, they both are proudly made in the USA!

Question on Race Deck Tile - here in Minnesota during the winter you come home to your warm garage. The snow, salt and sand from the roads starts melting and dropping onto that hice new Race Deck floor. Backing out of the garage and driving over the sand, is the sand going to scratch up the tile? Is the road salt going to have any effect?

I know I would sweep up most of the sand when it dries and squegee any wet slush out of the garage.

We live in SLC right on the benches ( mountain) I have had the same RaceDeck floor in my garage for almost 7 years. You should not have any issue..we have yet to replace a RaceDeck floor for being worn out
