I know this subject has been beaten to death but I don't have the patience to search thru threads.

Need tile for part of my shop, the "working" as opposed to "parking" side, about 240-300 sf of the total shop area.

My main objective is to insulate from cold, and cushion for my comfort.

It wil ONLY be used for motorcycles and 4-wheeler, but do have a scissors lift.

I was going to just buy cheap foam backed carpet, but now I question that.

I have read somewhere that RD tends to make noise when walked on and that would be unacceptable to me.

Which material (PVC, polyvinyl, whatever) would be recommended for my
needs?

Personally, RD has so much, and such a good rep here, that I would not go looking at others.

The clacking problem is also quite easily addressed with some landscapers fabric under the tile.

I have the free flow and love it. I just went out in my stocking feet this past weekend and it was so much more comfortable than concrete! Not as cold (it was 15 degrees out) and no clickety-clack at all. Good luck with your decision!
