Greetings Everyone!

Newbee here...
I've spent the last couple days trying to find information on a hydraulic problem I have with my transmission jack.
First of all it's not one of the vertical post jacks for under a hoist. It's the "roll around, crawl your **** on the floor" type.
It has a similar hydraulic system as a regular floor jack with the horizontal cylinder that pushes out to lift the cradle.
It seems to pump up ok and at least hold my weight but as soon as you get it to about 3/4 height it drops quickly as though you opened the release valve.
It goes down all the way except maybe the last 2" of cradle height.
Releasing the valve lets it drop the last two inches.
Pump it up then at 3/4 height down she comes again.
I don't know the make of it, but I would think it's probably an offshore specie. The labels are gone.
I bought it several years ago and use it maybe once or twice a year. Worked great up until now.
I'm going to try to get and post some pics of it - gotta get to the shop.
In the interim, any thoughts?
Thanks!
