working on my garage, has and one piece garage attic truss.

I am section of the rear 12x24 of a 24x32garage for a heated shop.

Need to insulate the ceiling, was planning on using an unfaced r30 bat on top of a faced r19, but I got to thinking about all the gaps from the truss webs. no way I could cut triangle to fill all of them, would be hundreds.

How much heat am I gonna lose from them? I could put up the ceiling, then cut out the floor decking and fill with cellulose or something I guess, or are there places that rent Dense pack machines?

other Ideas?

the space above is unfinished for now, at some point will be separately heated and insulated probably, but not now.

I just blew in a 1200 sq ft attic with cellulose . I installed a tin ceiling then blew it in.
If you go this route figure about 50-75 % more than the chart reads.

staple up faced r38 then put up your ceiling. I just put up a metal ceiling and laid faced r30 between trusses as we came across

You might want to price out having a company blow your ceiling after you get your ceiling installed. They can blow nde that flooring. The price they gae me was real reasonable. It didn't behove me to do it myself.

Not sure the price for someone to do it for you, but if you blow insulation, consider doing it yourself to save money. It's not a really hard job, but does require two people. One to load bales and one to blow it in.
