I'm wondering what flooring options there are for my situation.
Come Spring, the first item in upgrading my 483 sq' garage is to redo the flooring. Half the floor is pitted due to road salt damage over the decades. After concrete resurfacing, I've been considering epoxy or RaceDeck (RD).
The garage was done as one giant slab with no expansion joints. The main reason for considering RD is to hide the several cracks in the floor, and cover a greater problem. The real concern is one of the triangular cracked piece has raised about 3/8" on one corner and dropped the same amount on another. I'm sure that any concrete patching will crack again and the heaving will continue over the years. So this pretty much eliminates epoxy covering as a viable solution since the floor is not stable over time. The trouble is, here in Canada, the RD would cost about 6x that of epoxy.
Is there any alternative flooring that I should consider that is priced between epoxy and RD? Cost is a concern, so I don't want to spend a large amount just on the flooring (RD) and have little left for the rest of the garage.
