I have a 6 week old slab 20x22 and a 17 inch tall block wall smooth coated. Im looking primarily for a very durable product. I do a decent amount of engine work and have some heavy equipment that I would be dragging across the floor. Unfortunately all of the local contractors are quoting me 7-10k for the job as its too small and not worth there time. What I did learn was a 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick urethane slurry would be best for me. I would like some recommendations and opinions as I would like to make a decision and purchase product this week. Thx

Couple options, sealer ( densifier ) like Ghost shield or HD40 this is not a film hardens the concrete a bit and protects from oil and some chemicals. One of the easiest and least costly to apply. I would pick a urethane over epoxy, but you don't need 1/4" thick. I'm considering Armorpoxy's (SPGX) seems to do what I want. They also have ArmorUltra kind of sounds like it might be what you are looking for. Other dealers here have similar products.
Comes down to the look you want the protection you need and the money and time you want to spend on the floor.
Good Luck

I am certainly no expert on floor coverings, but I would tend to think that if you drag heavy objects across the floor any type of floor coating would be scratched and/or ruined.

Engine stands, hoists, etc have wheels so I wont be dragging dead weight or something that could dig right into the floor. Nevertheless it is heavy and rather than put some plain epoxy I was hoping to get some vendor input or info from members regarding a robust solution.

Hi,
We can sell also you our Armorultra urethane slurry mortar which lays out about 3/16 for about $5.00 per foot including the necessary installation tools and topcoat and non skid. The floor must be aggressively grinder or shot blasted for adhesion.

Please email us directly for info and pricing. Thank you
