As part of my planned garage makeover, I am building an enclosure for the water heater and solar tank. Also building a storage area in the rear and side of the garage.

Just wondering if I should also finish the floor in these areas in the same manner as the rest of the garage (i.e. epoxy or racedeck) or just leave the concrete bare :headscrat.

Thanks,
Mordi

Personally, I would do the whole thing. You could always do some cheap sealer at the very least. Something tells me if you're thinking about it now, you're going to wish you would have done it once the rest is complete! :headscrat

I had this same question when I was doing my new workshop.
For the small compressor and bead blast rooms I used water based epoxy gray color with clear on top and no flakes. For my clean/paint room, I used cheap 100% solids epoxy gray color only no flakes. For the large main area of my shop I went with the Wolverine 100% solids epoxy/urethane system with DecoFlakes.

Yes - that is similiar and along the lines of what I was thinking - just something very basic to cover the floor and match the main area.
