Lowes - Freeman 3 in 1 Flooring nailer

Basically I can't tell the difference between the two based on specs. Of course they look different, but I can't really tell which one would be better. Generally I am not inclined to go for the store specific model, but if parts are available, I don't really care. I suspect the internals will be the same.

As for the flooring nailer, I am not going any higher than $200. I am much more likely to take my chances with the HF version, or something cheaper than I am to spend any more. According to the reviews, the Freeman's work pretty well.

I won't rent, and I hate to borrow (I don't know anybody who has one anyway), but I don't mind lending. I have an air compressor already, so no worries there.

Let me know what you guys thing and I'll make a decision in the next couple days.

Thanks!

I would look on craigslist / classifieds for a gently used Bostitch

after your done you can sell it and recoup your $$ too...

when I did my wood floors, I borrowed one...I also know that Lumber Liquidators rent them too.

My concern is I don't know what I would be looking for as far as wear in a used flooring nailer.

I don't rent, and I don't borrow.:eyecrazy:

I actually used the hf one to do 2600 sq ft of Brazilian Cherry in my last house. I still have it but don't plan on ever doing that again. It worked fine for me although towards the end It seemed like the first nail after sitting all night would jam. I would take it apart let that one fall out and it would do fine the rest of the day. Never did find out why, never tried to either. Just my .02

I bought the hf one off eBay for 12 bucks delivered. Oiled and works like a glove. Done over 10,000 sq ft personally . BIL and FIL have borrowed on several occasions. Worth its weight in gold to me. I have a manual one too......senco.......ill take the HF over that all day long.
