Hi all. Let me start by introducing myself. I'm new here but have been lurking for a while. My name is Corey. I'm 22 and have an interest in VW/Audi and automotive detailing. I have an A4 with a rebuilt motor and custom turbo setup. So far I've learned a ton here, so thank you all for sharing your wisdom and inspiration!
Anyway, my parents are looking at purchasing a new home, and we think we may have found "the one". The new home is a ~3000sq/ft ranch with a 22x28 two-car garage. The garage is completely unfinished, with a bare concrete floor and two automatic garage doors. At 616 sq/ft, I'm trying to find a flooring option that is relatively inexpensive, but attractive-looking, can be hosed off or swept, and is durable. Most of my projects are relatively easy on the floor (detailing, oil changes, etc) but every now and then I'll take on a larger project like engine swaps or other jobs that require long-term use of jack stands, or banging/dropping heavy items. I'm looking for something that can handle long-term jack stand use without cracking/breaking, but still looks presentable and is easy to clean in the event of a spill or mess.
I've looked at RaceDeck, but I fear that it may give us trouble rolling around service carts, stools, creepers, etc, and that it could be damaged or ruined when using jacks for a long period of time. It's also fairly expensive so I think I need something more durable and a bit cheaper. I've read that some have used epoxy, which I'm unfamiliar with. Others have suggested porcelin or ceramic tile which is fairly inexpensive, but I fear that it could crack if something is dropped onto the tile or from too much weight.
What would you guys suggest? I'd love to hear from those who have been in similar situations.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I live in New England. The garage will be insulated, but the outside temps are pretty hot in the summer and pretty cold in the winter or at night. There's also snow/sand/salt that we have to deal with in the winter.
