Flooring over OSB sub-floor

I have recently just finished a loft in my shop to be used as an office. At the time I was building, I always figured I would install an industrial style carpet in the space. However, now that it is done, I am having second thoughts. Below is a picture of the loft to give an idea of what it looks like.

The subfloor is 1.25" thick OSB. I want to avoid anything with a pattern or a wood grain. The local home centers don't stock anything close to what I have in mind other than Epoxy. I don't want to see the seems in the subfloor when done. Maybe a rubber or vinyl.

What are the options that are out there?

Been looking at some of the options you guys showed and that led me to some other options as well.

The luxury vinyl doesn't offer the color options I want and the rubber options have the color, but the cost gets up to about $2500 not counting my stairwell.

I found some indoor/ outdoor at HD that comes close, but the color palette doesn't really get me to the look I am going for.

I did find some marine grade carpet that has the colors and is affordable. Has anybody used marine carpet in a shop before? Wondering if there might be something I am might not be thinking about.

Go to a carpet and flooring store. They will have tons of possibilities.

I have been to quite a few and have found some doable options. The installation rate has skyrocketed since the last time I had carpet installed. One place was charging $60 an hour for carpet install!

$60 / hour to have trained personnel do work at your home?
Sounds cheap to me.

When you figure the cost per sqft they are charging it is double the national average and their competitors. Not saying they aren't trained, but it's gouging.

Thanks! That spot is for a flat screen that hasn't been installed yet. I cut all the panels on my CNC. I saw some cabinets that had all rounded corners and door and thought it was pretty unique. I designed The whole room around that.

I spend all day walking back and forth between the shop and the house tracking in all kinds of stuff. This way I'll just spend all day out there. My wife will never see me again!

I'll post some pics tomorrow when I get back to my PC. My app does not want to cooperate right now.

My thoughts too. Probably be two guys too, I'm guessing that's $60 for both. Then consider how fast they are. There are a lot of corners and stairs but I bet they would't be 3-4 hours. $180-240 sounds more than reasonable.

The loft looks sharp, I'm jealous.

It's 684 sqft with $1300 for labor only. I guessed 7 hours for 3 people. Total of 21 man hours. Comes out $61 an hour. I rounded down.

Carpet is usually charged by the sq. yard or sq. ft. and by the step.
I would not pay hourly.

My apologies. Sometimes the message is lost in translation on the web.

The dealer did calculate the labor rate per sqft. My thoughts were their rate was too high. $1300 for 684 sqft. I took that number and tried to figure out what that translated to per hour to put that in perspective of other services.

I have spoken with other installers and their rates are much less and more in line with each other and this one example was the outlier.

1300.00 is just labor? 76 sq. yards . 17 bucks a yard? that is robbery
FYI: In Ca......
Retail stores cpt labor runs about 5 bucks max and about 5 bucks a step max for simple stairs.
apartment flooring co.s pay 2 bucks and 75 a staircase
This is what the installer gets paid.

It's crazy. Last time I had my house carpeted it cost $350 for about 1000 sqft. I couldn't believe it when they gave me that price. I know it's higher these days, but that was still way off. They must have fancier clients than me. :)

That cost is what triggered me to start looking at other alternatives.

uh, that is dirt cheap for 111 sq yds
actually below cost, even for polyester
Cheap nylon w/pad would be around 2100.00
did you mean 3500.00?
