Details:

New 24x40 shop with machine troweled floor. There are a couple of low spots, but not terribly concerned about them.

We run a laser engraving and cutting business that is accompanied by wood working. Part of the shop will get framed and conditioned for a laser and wood working room. The other part of the shop will be use for parking, auto repairs, and building a hot rod at some point.

I am trying to decide between DIY and having a contractor do it. I currently have a quote for $2700 for a contractor that I use on my new homes to coat the floor. 3 coat system, 20 mils thick, with random flake.

If I DIY, I don’t want to have to grind the floor. If it will require grinding, I’ll contract out the work! The floor will need to be ready for machines within a week of starting the process, as I will have to have our laser shop moved approximately a week after we close on the new property.

Hi, you could use our www.armorcladepoxy.com system for this for in the range of $1.50/sq ft. We include the prep/etch solution but if the floor is highly troweled ad has an almost polished finish grinding is best. Make sure to use the primer to get a thicker floor so the 100% solids epoxy doesn't soak in.
