Hey all,

Its been ages i posted in this forum.

Working on getting quotes to do flooring in the 3 car Garage. Waiting on receiving quotes from multiple bidder. Received two - then i got confused.

Bidder 1: Clean,Grind, Prep, 100% epoxy solid base, then Flake, then Top coat 60 to 80mil of Polyaspratic. $6 per sq.ft
Bidder 2: Clean, Grind, Prep, Base coat polyaspartic polyurea, Flake , then top coat seal with high solids polyaspartic - Waiting on $
Bidder 3: Clean, Grind, Prep, Base coat polyaspartic , Flake , then top coat seal with polyaspartic - Waiting on $7 per sq.ft

For a Polyaspartic flooring, what is the typical base coat?

Shea is spot on. The only reason polyurea is used as a basecoat is so they can finish the floor quicker and get paid. It's a sad thing happening in the industry right now. Epoxy Base / Poly Topcoat is the best move. Installers will lie about it because they know most aren't educated on the products.
Nevermind....got the answer....
