Flooring suggestions?

There are so many choices of types and brands of floor epoxy, paint etc... I don't know where to begin. I am not overly concerned with price, but I don't want to do it twice or have something that won't hold up over time.

Any suggestions?

If money were no object I'd go for porcelain tile, unfortunately I can't afford that so for now I've just sealed and densified the concrete - eventually I intend to put down some cheap laminate flooring.

You begin by telling us what you plan to do on the floor. Welding, metal fab, polish cars, wood work, or are you just trying to be the most impressive floor on the block? Are you parking wet snowy cars on it and need drainage or are you in the tropics?

You actually should begin by searching. There are hundreds of threads on this site addressing every type of flooring. Read them, then come back and ask any questions that weren't answered in your search (most questions have probably been asked).

If pricing is your number one concern, dirt floors are usually the cheapest.

I have two garages. The first garage, 2 1/2 car, is attached to the house and is in really good shape but it is also about 60 years so you can imagine there are dirt type particles in the pours of the concrete. This garage will have your basic residential concerns for gas, oil, and snow/salt. I am afraid epoxy will not stick and I don't want to do this a second time.

The second garage is 34 x36 with radiant floor heat and is new concrete. This garage contains equipment for welding and basic machine fab, (cutting oil) gas and oil.

I hope this helps you better understand my general inquiry.

Overhaulin, your setup is similar to mine, except that my second garage is attached. I'm in the middle of doing porcelain, just because it seemed to be the lowest maintenance option over time.
